Our methods - Policy research and evaluation
Our Life uses policy research, analysis and development to inform and add supporting evidence to the issues and concerns raised by citizens. In addition, we have developed a reputation for translating research and public insight into practical outputs to provide decision makers with robust information on which to base decisions. We also provide ongoing specialist advice on policy design and the delivery of evaluation procedures.
As a provider of quality and empowering engagement, each piece of work Our Life undertakes is rigorously evaluated and scrutinised to deliver learning that ensures a high standard is maintained. We are outcomes-focused and adhere to a clear evaluation plan that accurately reflects impact and social value.
CREATING RESEARCH
Developing robust and action-led evidence from which to draw information and support citizen-led actions. At all times Our Life seeks to be forward thinking and in touch with existing and emerging policy and research.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ASSESSMENTS & STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
We are able to work with various organisations to consider the role of participation within their work, or to either review or put together a community engagement strategy. Our team has experience of conducting such work with a range of organisations, including a Barnardos family support team and an international development charity.
EVALUATION
Our Life's focus is on outcomes and measuring impact. We are adept at designing robust evaluation processes and build these into all of the projects we undertake. Evidencing impact is increasingly important and Our Life has recently developed a social value methodology using the principles of Social Return on Investment (SROI). Our approach is focused on developing SROI into a more accessible and user-friendly framework from which assessments of social value can be made.
